Dance Educator

Shane is a master teacher with educational experience at universities, ballet schools, and elementary schools.  He has taught at numerous organizations to help dancers of diverse backgrounds understand movement education in multiple ways. His students have continued their dance educations or careers in a range of trajectories, including at Boston Ballet Summer Program, Washington Ballet, Festival Ballet Providence Summer Program, Marymount Manhattan College, Arizona State University, Rhode Island College, and Florida Southern College. He also uses dance and movement education as an innovative means to teaching other skills. This includes helping elementary school children to master the basics of math and telling time, as well as coaching MBA students to understand the value of conscientious, intentional movement in professional interactions. Shane has taught for the following organizations:
